Adore Cambodia is a grass-roots, passionate and dedicated organization working on the ground in Cambodia to give much-needed help to at-risk children, struggling families and poor communities in some of the most poverty-stricken provinces of the country. It is estimated that around 70% of Cambodians live in the countryside where many do not have access to proper education, good healthcare, adequate sanitation or access to clean, safe water.

Living conditions in the remote villages of Cambodia are some of the worst in the world; unsafe, unsanitary and unsure.Cambodians suffer extreme poverty, earning less than $2 a day, if they are lucky enough to work.Children can’t always go to school – and the cycle of poverty continues.

With the need so great, Adore Cambodia has grown to support whole communities with much-needed sustainable development so that families can thrive: clean water, food distribution, sanitation and healthcare, followed by education. Adore Cambodia has a team of 6 Cambodian staff and a small fundraising crew in Singapore.

Adore Cambodia was founded in 2009 by Jason Lim, a man from Singapore on a mission to make the right changes in Cambodia.

Jason had travelled around parts of South East Asia and worked closely with many community elders and not-for-profit organizations in Cambodia.  He has seen the extreme poverty up-close and has spent many years working with disadvantaged communities in rural Siem Reap. Jason has lived in Cambodia for the past 11 years, working alongside our local team to develop and expand the projects and initiatives of Adore Cambodia.

We’re not going to change the world overnight but each of our projects does change lives. We think that’s a good place to start!

Adore Cambodia is made up of a small, dedicated and passionate team; including community elders who play key roles in selecting the poor families we support. We also work with volunteers from Singapore and Malaysia who assist with project management, fundraising, communications, media and more.
